Company information
The Service is operated by TipPage.com LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16850379, with registered office at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.
References to "TipPage", "we", "us", and "our" in these Terms mean TipPage.com LTD.
Service description
TipPage.com ("TipPage", "the Service") is a multi-tenant platform operated by TipPage.com LTD from the United Kingdom that lets Twitch streamers ("Streamers") run a tipping page, a text-to-speech (TTS) and media queue, an OBS overlay, and a chat bot.
Viewers can send a Streamer a voluntary tip, which may optionally include:
- A text message - read aloud on stream via text-to-speech
- A media request - a YouTube video URL queued for playback on stream
- A display name - shown on the overlay and the Streamer's tip page
Tips are processed through Stripe or PayPal. Viewers who are Twitch subscribers to a participating Streamer may also redeem "sub rewards" to send messages without payment, where the Streamer has enabled this feature.
Who you're contracting with
When you submit a paid tip, you contract with and pay TipPage.com LTD. TipPage.com LTD is the merchant of record for Stripe and PayPal charges, and funds are transferred to the Streamer's connected payment account after processing. This setup exists primarily to protect the Streamer - their home address is not exposed via Stripe's charge lookup, because the charge appears under TipPage.com LTD's business details.
The Streamer, not TipPage.com LTD, sets their own content rules, moderates their own queue, and chooses what appears on their stream. TipPage.com LTD provides the platform; the Streamer controls the channel.
Eligibility
By using the Service, you confirm that:
- If you are under 18, you have appropriate permission to make a payment, or you are using sub rewards
- You are using a payment method you are authorised to use
- You are not currently banned from the Service or the specific Streamer's tip page
- You will comply with these Terms, the Streamer's own rules, and all applicable laws
Streamer accounts are created by signing in with Twitch. You must be authorised to act on behalf of the Twitch channel you link. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the actions of admins or moderators you invite.
Nature of tips
Tips submitted through the Service are voluntary. A tip is not a purchase of goods or services. By submitting a tip, you acknowledge that:
- You are sending a voluntary gratuity to support the Streamer
- Accompanying features (TTS, media playback, overlay display) are provided on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed
- Technical issues, stream downtime, content filtering, or moderation actions may prevent your message or media from appearing on stream
- The minimum tip amount is set by each Streamer and shown on their tip page
- Some Streamers require you to sign in with Twitch before tipping, and may set your Twitch name as your tip display name
Express consent to immediate performance. By submitting a tip you expressly request that the Service begin performance immediately - that is, that your tip and its accompanying name, message, and any media request be captured, processed, and placed into the Streamer's queue as soon as payment is captured. You acknowledge that, once payment has been captured, performance of the Service has begun and (where the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 would otherwise apply) you will lose any right to cancel the contract under regulation 36, in accordance with regulation 28(1)(b) and 28(1)(m) of those Regulations.
Sub rewards
Where a Streamer has enabled sub rewards, their Twitch subscribers may earn "free messages" by subscribing, receiving a gifted sub, or being granted credits manually by the Streamer. Credits:
- Are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged
- Are scoped to a single Streamer and cannot be used on another Streamer's page
- May be revoked by the Streamer or by TipPage at any time
- Are forfeited if the Streamer disables the feature or if your account is removed
Credits are awarded via Twitch's EventSub as soon as we see the relevant subscription event. Signing in with Twitch on a Streamer's tip page is required to use them.
Content, rules, and moderation
TipPage does not impose content rules of its own on tip messages, display names, or media requests, beyond what is required to prevent fraud and unlawful activity. Each Streamer sets their own rules for their own channel and is responsible for enforcing them on their own tip page.
To support Streamer-side moderation, TipPage provides:
- Automated text filters - per-Streamer word lists with replacement or blocking actions, configured by the Streamer
- AI-assisted content review - where the Streamer has enabled it, submitted text is checked by a private AI content moderation system to help detect attempts to bypass the Streamer's filters. Providers are not permitted to train on the content
- Manual moderation tools - Streamers and their moderators can review, edit, or reject submissions at any time
- Video moderation - requested YouTube videos may be blocked by the Streamer's banned-video list
The Streamer - not TipPage - decides what is acceptable on their channel. When you submit to a particular Streamer's tip page you agree to that Streamer's rules as posted or enforced on their channel. The original unfiltered content is retained for moderation review purposes.
Bans and suspension
Streamers may ban Viewers from their own tip pages at their own discretion. TipPage may additionally, at its sole discretion, restrict or terminate any account - including platform-wide, across every Streamer's tip page - for:
- Chargeback or payment dispute abuse
- Fraudulent payments, stolen-card activity, or any other financial crime
- Attempted ban evasion (using alternative accounts, payment methods, or devices)
- Use of the Service for unlawful activity
- A credible pattern of behaviour that targets Streamers for harm, harassment, or doxxing across multiple channels
- Any behaviour that creates risk for the platform, other users, or third parties
TipPage may apply a platform-wide ban where we reasonably believe an individual is likely to commit financial crime against the Service, or is known to cause serious harm to Streamers on our platform. Platform-wide bans are applied sparingly and with the protection of Streamers as the primary consideration.
Ban enforcement uses a small set of pseudonymised (one-way hashed) identifiers associated with each tip - the tokenised payment identity provided by the payment processor, the card brand and last four digits, the checkout email address, the Twitch account where signed in, a device identifier generated during the tipping flow, and the IP address - so the same person can be recognised across payment methods, accounts, and devices. Identifiers observed during an attempt to circumvent a ban may be added to the ban record, and ban records found to belong to the same person may be combined. These identifiers are stored hashed, scoped per Streamer, and are used for no other purpose - see the Privacy Policy.
Streamers may additionally require Viewers to sign in with Twitch before tipping, and may require the Viewer's Twitch name to be used as their tip display name.
Tip forfeiture for ban circumvention
If you have been banned from a Streamer's tip page or from the Service as a whole, you must not attempt to tip that Streamer (or any Streamer, where the ban is platform-wide) by any means - this includes using a different payment card, a different account, a different browser, a different network or IP address, a VPN, a friend's card or account, or any other method intended to circumvent the ban. By submitting a tip you warrant that you are not subject to any such ban (see the "Eligibility" warranties above).
Where you submit a tip in breach of a ban, or otherwise in breach of these Terms or of a Streamer's posted rules in a way that we reasonably treat as deliberate circumvention:
- The tip is forfeit. Neither TipPage nor the Streamer is required to play any content associated with the tip, queue it, or otherwise perform any aspect of the Service in respect of it.
- You are not entitled to a refund of the forfeit tip, in whole or in part. This forfeiture is a liquidated-damages clause reflecting our legitimate interest in deterring ban circumvention and the operational cost of detecting and acting on it. The amount forfeited is, by the design of the Service, limited to the value of the tip you chose to send, which we consider proportionate to that interest.
- TipPage may, at its discretion, retain the forfeit funds, donate them to charity, or forward them to the Streamer. You will have no claim on them.
- We may extend the ban (across the platform, across associated payment methods, and across any identifiers we reasonably link to the circumvention attempt) and we will contest any chargeback you raise, citing the breach and these Terms as evidence.
For the avoidance of doubt, the prevention principle of English contract law applies: where your own breach of these Terms is the cause of the Service not being performed in respect of your tip, you cannot claim non-performance as the basis for a refund.
Our usual practice. Where our systems detect a banned user's tip before payment is captured - the normal case for card payments, which are authorised first and captured only after our checks - the payment authorisation is simply cancelled and you are not charged at all; any pending amount on your statement is a temporary hold that will be released. Where payment has already been captured before the attempt is detected (for example, PayPal payments), we will normally refund it to the payment method used, even though we are not obliged to do so. We do this as an act of goodwill and to avoid holding funds we do not wish to keep; we do not do it because we are legally required to, and our doing so in your case (or in past cases) does not create any entitlement to a refund, any waiver of this forfeiture clause, or any admission of liability. We reserve the right to apply the forfeiture above in full - including retaining captured funds outright - in any case where we judge it appropriate (for example, repeated or particularly deliberate circumvention).
Refunds
Capture of your payment is the point of no return. By submitting a tip you have requested immediate performance of the Service (see "Nature of tips"). As soon as your payment has been captured by TipPage, the Service has begun and the contract for that tip has been performed by us. From that moment on, you are not contractually entitled to a refund, whether in whole or in part, for any reason.
The only situation in which TipPage will offer a refund as of right is where, due to a technical fault on TipPage's side, your payment is taken but your tip is never captured into the Streamer's queue at all. In that case TipPage will refund the captured amount, on request, through the original payment method. Outside that narrow case:
- Mod or Streamer removed your tip from the queue - the Streamer's editorial control over their channel is part of the Service. Removal from the queue is performance of the Service, not a failure of it. No refund.
- Filter modified, replaced, or rejected your message - automated and AI-assisted moderation is part of the Service the Streamer has configured. No refund.
- TTS did not play, audio quality was poor, voice was wrong, or alert did not appear on stream - the Queue, TTS, and Media features are provided on an "as is" basis without guarantee of playback. No refund.
- Channel was offline, the Streamer was AFK, or your tip never reached the top of the queue before the stream ended - we do not warrant that the stream will be live or attended when your tip is processed. Simply request in chat that the streamer replays your tip/media. No refund.
- Change of mind, or you decided after the fact that you wished you hadn't tipped - tips are voluntary gratuities. No refund.
- Ban circumvention - see "Tip forfeiture for ban circumvention" above. No refund; the tip is forfeit.
- Fraud / stolen payment - if someone used your payment method without authorisation, contact us immediately and we will work with you and the Streamer to resolve it. This is the one circumstance outside our control where we expect to refund.
Beyond the position above, any refund is a discretionary goodwill gesture by the Streamer (as the recipient of the funds and provider of the on-stream features). The Streamer may grant such a refund and ask TipPage to process it; TipPage will not issue a refund without the Streamer's authorisation, save in the confirmed-fraud and platform-side capture-failure cases above.
Nothing in this section purports to exclude or restrict any rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded by contract. Where such a right applies, your remedy is against the Streamer as the party providing the on-stream service.
TipPage+ subscription
TipPage+ is an optional paid subscription for Streamers, currently priced at £9.99 per month (inclusive of any applicable VAT). It provides access to the following additional features: a custom domain for your tip page, the AI-assisted bypass-aware content filter (subject to the fair use terms below), a custom chat bot account, and chargeback cover (see below).
Billing and renewal. Your subscription is billed monthly in advance via Stripe. It renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise TipPage to charge your saved payment method on a recurring basis. If a renewal payment fails, we will retry according to Stripe's standard smart-retry schedule; if payment cannot be collected, your subscription will lapse and TipPage+ features will be suspended.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - you retain access to TipPage+ features until that date. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months, except where required by law.
Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change, by email and/or in-dashboard announcement. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Fair use of the AI filter. The AI-assisted content filter runs on third-party AI providers that charge us for every message checked, and £9.99 per month comfortably covers the usage of almost every channel. Very occasionally a channel is busy enough that its AI usage costs us more than the subscription itself. If that happens, we will not cut you off or bill you extra out of the blue - we will get in touch, show you the numbers, and agree a small usage supplement with you (typically just a few pounds per month) that reflects your actual use. Any agreed supplement takes effect from your next billing date, never retroactively, and you can cancel your subscription instead if you would rather not pay it. If we cannot agree a supplement, we may switch the AI filter on your account to the standard word-list filter - every other TipPage+ feature stays unaffected.
Consumer cancellation rights. If you are a consumer purchasing a digital subscription for the first time, you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. However, if you request immediate access to TipPage+ features at sign-up, you expressly consent to performance beginning immediately and acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel once the subscription has begun to be performed. If you have not used any TipPage+ features, you may exercise this right by contacting hello@tippage.com within 14 days of subscribing.
Chargeback cover. While your TipPage+ subscription is active, TipPage will cover Stripe's dispute fee for eligible chargebacks raised against tips processed through the Service on your account. Coverage is subject to the following conditions:
- Coverage is capped at £100 in total dispute fees per calendar month. Dispute fees exceeding this cap in any given month are your responsibility.
- Your TipPage+ subscription must be active and in good standing when the chargeback is filed.
- Cover applies only to chargebacks on tips that were processed legitimately through the Service - it does not apply to disputes arising from your own policy violations, fraudulent activity, or tips submitted in breach of these Terms.
- TipPage will handle submission of dispute evidence to Stripe on your behalf where we hold the relevant records. We do not guarantee that any dispute will be won.
- Cover does not extend to the disputed tip amount itself - if a dispute is lost, the tip funds may be returned to the payer in accordance with Stripe's standard process.
Chargeback cover is a feature of TipPage+ and is not a financial guarantee, insurance product, or indemnity. We reserve the right to withdraw cover for any account where we reasonably suspect abuse of the feature.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider instead of contacting the Streamer (or TipPage, where appropriate) may result in:
- A permanent ban from the Service
- Contesting of the chargeback with evidence of the voluntary nature of the transaction and these Terms
We strongly encourage you to reach out before initiating a dispute with your payment provider.
If you are a Streamer on TipPage+ and receive a chargeback, see the "TipPage+ subscription" section above for details of chargeback cover.
Queue, TTS, and media availability
The TTS queue, media queue, and stream overlay features are provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee:
- That your message will be read aloud at any specific time or at all
- That your media request will be played at any specific time or at all
- Continuous availability of the queue, overlay, or stream
- Any particular audio quality, voice, or language for TTS
- That the stream will be live at the time your tip is processed
Tips and media requests may be skipped, reordered, or removed at the Streamer's discretion. Streamers may disable tipping or media requests at any time.
Intellectual property
By submitting a message or media request, you grant TipPage and the relevant Streamer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, read aloud, and broadcast your submission as part of the live stream and any recordings of it. You confirm that you have the right to submit any content you provide.
Media requests are links to third-party content (YouTube). We do not host or claim ownership of any linked media. Responsibility for linked content lies with the uploader and YouTube.
User-generated content
The Service acts as an intermediary for user-submitted content, including text messages (read aloud via TTS), display names, and media requests. TipPage is not the author, publisher, or speaker of any content submitted by users.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. By submitting content, you acknowledge that:
- We do not pre-approve every submission before it appears on stream - while we employ automated filters and Streamer-side manual moderation, some content may appear before it can be reviewed
- The appearance of any user-submitted content on the stream, queue, or overlay does not constitute endorsement, approval, or adoption of that content by TipPage or the Streamer
- Neither TipPage nor the Streamer accepts responsibility for the content of user submissions, including messages, display names, and media requests
- We act expeditiously to remove content that is brought to our attention as potentially unlawful or in violation of these Terms
If you believe any content displayed on the Service is unlawful or violates these Terms, contact us at hello@tippage.com.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for money laundering or any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or databases
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or any server connected to it
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service without permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Impersonate another person or entity

Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties including Twitch, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon Web Services (Polly and optionally Bedrock), OpenAI (optional), Google (YouTube oEmbed), Cloudflare, PostHog, Sentry, and Resend. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount of the tip giving rise to the claim
- We are not liable for any loss arising from actions taken by third-party payment processors, Twitch, YouTube, or any other third party
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, announced in the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also have the benefit of mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
