TipPage is run from England, and every email is read by a person. Mid-stream and need an answer this minute? The docs cover most of it. For everything else, email.
You stream with TipPage
Setting up, or something on stream isn't behaving
The docs walk through every step, from the first alert to the bot. Start with Getting started or Add your overlay to OBS.
A question about your money
Getting paid covers fees, payouts, refunds and chargebacks on one page.
Someone is abusing your tip page
Ban them from the tip's row and the ban follows them. Threats, or anything illegal: email us as well. See Bans and refunds.
Anything about your account
Email hello@tippage.com and tell us your TipPage link. Any address is fine.
You tipped a streamer
You'd like the tip back
Refunds are the streamer's call. If their page accepts requests, sign in at refund.tippage.com with the email on your receipt.
A charge from TIPPAGE.COM LTD you don't recognise
Email hello@tippage.com straight away with the date and the amount.
Your message didn't play, or was changed
The streamer and their mods run the queue and the filter. Ask in their chat for a replay.
A receipt for a tip you didn't send
Most likely a typo in someone's email address. Ignore it, or email us if it looks like fraud.
Every way to reach us.
Email
hello@tippage.comFor anything at all: your account, a payout, a bug, an idea, or a streamer who needs a hand. There is no phone line, so this is the fastest way to reach a person. We reply from the same address, so you can just answer back.
Docs
docs.tippage.comThe manual: setup, overlays, alerts, the bot, payments, TipPage+ and the developer API. Searchable, and updated with every release.
Status
status.tippage.comLive health of tip pages, alerts, the bot and the API. If something is wrong on our side it shows here first, so check it before you email about an outage.
Privacy and security
privacy@tippage.comFor data requests and anything under the Privacy Policy. Found a vulnerability? Email security@tippage.com; the Security page says how we handle reports. Copyright notices go to hello@tippage.com with the subject “Copyright”, as set out in the Terms.
What to put in the email.
The more of this you include, the fewer questions we have to ask back, and the sooner it's fixed.
Your TipPage link. yourname.tippage.com, or your custom domain. If you tipped someone, the page you tipped on.
What you did, what you expected, and what happened. Step by step is perfect.
When. The date and time, with your time zone. We can find a tip or an alert quickly from a time.
For a tip, the reference. It's on the receipt email. Don't send card details. If you have no receipt, the last four digits of the card and the date are enough for us to find the transaction, and that's all we ever need.
A screenshot or a short clip, if it's something on screen. OBS, the dashboard, the tip page, whatever you're looking at.
Questions we get a lot.
If you stream
My alerts don't show up in OBS.
Each overlay is one browser source in OBS, at the link the overlay editor gives you, sized to the overlay's own resolution. Fire a test alert from the dashboard and watch it. If the editor plays it and OBS doesn't, open the source's properties and refresh it, and check nothing is covering it.
The walk-through is Add your overlay to OBS, and Test alerts covers the rest.
A tip was paid but nothing played.
Look in the dashboard first. The Tips page lists every paid tip, and the TTS and Media queues show what is waiting. A tip can be held by your filter or your review queue, and a media request waits its turn in the media queue.
If the tip isn't anywhere in the dashboard, email us the time and the amount and we'll trace it. Where a fault on our side took the money and the tip never reached your queue, the tipper gets their money back. See Queue controls and Review queue.
When and how do I get paid?
Card tips are paid out to you through Stripe, and PayPal tips land straight in your own PayPal account under PayPal's own receipts and rules. Fees by country, payout timing and what happens to a refunded tip are all on Getting paid. Your own rate is on the Payments page of your settings.
How do I refund a tip?
From the Tips page in the dashboard: find the tip and press Refund. Card refunds go through immediately, in full. The processing fees aren't returned, so a refund costs you slightly more than the tip paid you.
PayPal tips sit in your own PayPal account, so refund the transaction in PayPal and then mark it refunded in the dashboard so your records match. Tippers can only ask for a refund themselves if you've switched refund requests on. Details in Bans and refunds.
Someone I banned keeps coming back.
A TipPage ban follows the person rather than the name they typed. Their payment method, email, Twitch or Kick account and device are all matched, a banned tipper's card is never charged, and each attempt to get round the ban teaches it something new.
Ban from the tip's row in the dashboard. If someone is threatening you or posting something illegal, email us as well as banning them.
I've had a chargeback.
Chargebacks on card tips land with us, and we contest them with the record of the tip and the terms the tipper agreed to. On TipPage+, Stripe's dispute fee is covered for eligible chargebacks, up to £100 a month. If a dispute is lost, the tip amount goes back to the payer whichever plan you're on. The full position is in the Terms.
Can I pause, or close my account?
To pause, switch tipping off on the Controls page. Your page stops taking new tips until you switch it back on, and nothing else changes.
To close the account, go to Settings, then Account, and type DELETE MY ACCOUNT. That removes the account and its data. It is permanent, and only the owner can do it.
If you tipped
Can I get my tip back?
Tips are voluntary and a refund is the streamer's decision. If their page accepts refund requests, sign in at refund.tippage.com with the email on your receipt and ask. They see the request in their dashboard, and you get an email either way.
TipPage doesn't refund a tip without the streamer's say-so, with two exceptions: a payment made without your permission, and a fault on our side that took the money but never delivered the tip. For either of those, email us. The full position is in the Terms.
There's a charge from TIPPAGE.COM LTD on my statement.
That's a card tip to a streamer who uses TipPage. We charge the card and pass the money to the streamer, which is why their name doesn't appear on your statement, and why your card and email never reach them. The receipt email names the streamer and their page.
If you didn't make the payment, email us straight away with the date and the amount.
My message was changed, removed or never played.
The streamer and their mods run their own queue and filter. A message can be edited or held by the filter, skipped by a mod, or still be waiting when the stream ends. Ask in their chat if you'd like it replayed. It isn't something TipPage can step into, and it isn't grounds for a refund.
I've been banned from a tip page.
Streamers decide who can tip on their page, and we don't overturn their bans. If you think it was a mistake, the streamer is the person to ask.
I got a receipt for a tip I didn't send.
Someone almost certainly typed your email address by mistake, and you can ignore it. If they keep coming, or you think your card was used, email us and we'll look into it.
Are my card details and email safe?
Your card details go from your browser straight to Stripe and never touch our servers. The streamer never sees your card, your billing address or your email. The Security page explains how the rest is handled.
Still stuck?
Email us.
Write it in your own words. We'll take it from there.
There's no phone line. Email is the quickest way to reach us, and post to the registered office in the footer works too.
